$1 Ways To Decorate

There are so many DIYs out there to decorate your room. However they normally involve expensive materials, things you don’t have just laying around the house, and a lot of artistic skill. These are some ways to add nice detail to your home that should all cost less the $1 and don’t take much effort.

If you live near a ocean or the next time you travel to the ocean collect some shells and put in a glass jar. This works as a great book end and reminds you of relaxing on the beach.

If you don’t feel like painting your room go to your local hardware store and pick up some paint chips. Then put them in a frame this frame was only 99 cents from IKEA.

To bring a pop of colour to your room pick up a cute vase. This one was also 99 cents from IKEA. Pick a flower from your garden or maybe it’s your neighbors garden (I’m not  judging). Put it on your bed side table.

No need to buy a mason jar just wash out an empty spaghetti sauce jar or salsa jar. Then if you have any costume jewelry put it inside. I did this with jewelry that I don’t wear anymore. It adds a glamorous touch to a vanity table.

Happy decorating!

  1. I feel INSPIRED! A new season is fast approaching and decorating is a great way to bring the outdoors inside, like your seashell and flower by the bedside idea! Great pictures! Clean, bright and sophisticated. Can’t wait to see what else you post!

  2. Like the paint chip idea. Saw a magazine with stairs painted each of the different shades of a paint chip, and I have a daughter who didn’t spend the money on the paint but taped the paint chips to her wall for a year.
