I have never been able to consistently write in a journal. My notebooks only ever get 1/4 the way full. However I think there are so many other ways to capture memories and emotions. Here are my ideas for alternatives to writing in a journal.
-Writing good things that happen on a sticky note and putting them in a jar to read at the end of the year. It’s a nice way to focus on the good things in your life.
– Structured journals that ask you questions or ask you to draw a picture. It’s super straight forward and keeps you more motivated to write.
– Take lots of photos or record vlog style videos. You don’t even have to post them anywhere you can just keep them as a documentation for yourself. It’s so fun to look back on videos to see how much you’ve changed and how strange your style used to be.
-Make a completely private account on Twitter or Instagram and use it to document your emotions instantaneously
-Use your agenda to write down how you felt or what happened that day.
